Garba revealed that the suspension came via a brief SMS notification and followed a meeting with the clubs technical committee but he has since heard nothing substantive about what comes next. He has not met with management to discuss his role or potential resolution.

Editorial

What we are witnessing with Yaro Yaros situation at Kano Pillars is a cautionary tale about institutional communication and the human cost of administrative inertia. Football is first and foremost a game of people players, coaches, staff and supporters. When a figure as emblematic as Ahmed Garba, whose entire professional life has been intertwined with one club, finds himself in a limbo devoid of clarity, it reflects a broader malaise in how clubs handle sensitive transitions.

Suspension without dialogue is more than a procedural stopgap it is an emotional drift. A coach particularly one with Garbas history as both player and mentor — deserves more than a brief SMS and silence thereafter. It is not merely about contract obligations or match results; it is about professional respect. Clubs owe their staff transparent processes, especially when making changes that affect livelihoods and reputations.

Kano Pillars have a storied legacy in Nigerian football, but legacy alone does not immunize an institution from criticism. Showing patience and continued pay is admirable, yet it does not substitute for leadership. The current silence from club management only deepens uncertainty and fosters speculation.

Football exists within structures rules, disciplines, strategies but it also depends on trust and communication. When those pillars falter, even the most celebrated club can struggle to maintain coherence. Yaro Yaros story deserves resolution not just for him, but for the culture of professionalism Nigerian football aspires to uphold.
